Build Your Very Own Custom Home
Many of us have dreamed at one time about living in a home that offers everything we can imagine: The Dream Home. But when it comes down to it, are custom homes just for the incredibly wealthy? We can show you that this is not the case! There are of course many factors to consider when taking this path, but with the right team, creating your dream home will be a fun and rewarding project.
Finances and Budgeting
Custom homes are considered a risky investment, and so a high credit rating is a must. You will also be required to put down a percentage (20%-25%) at the start of your build, so make sure that your finances are in order.
At Glastonbury Housesmith LLC., we stress the importance of an initial interview. When you come in to our offices, this is your chance to get all your questions out of the way—so brainstorm as much as possible! We’ll ask you some questions as well, to make sure that you are prepared to move forward. Even if you don’t have clear ideas and goals, don’t worry. Conceptual meetings will give you all the inspiration you require.
Before we hammer any nails, you’ll be having multiple meetings with a Residential Designer, who will plot out how everything is going to come together. If you have specific ideas about what you require in a home, they can work with that. If not, they will have many properties they’ve already designed for you to choose and alter to your taste.
